Member Development

At Mets, we provide a range of opportunities for members to develop to their full potential in their chosen area of interest. Whether you want to patrol the beach, compete in surf sports or participate in a role working with your kids' - we can provide the skills and opportunities to get you there. Members can access training and development opportunities from club level right up to national. Members can get involved in the club both on or off the beach with roles to suit a broad range of interests and skills. There are also plenty of social and networking opportunities as part of our club community.

Youth Development

Metropolitan Caloundra was named the 2018/19 Queensland Youth Development Club of the Year; for our work building the skills and involvement in Surf Life Saving of our young members.

Surf Lifesaving plays a key role in the community in providing a safe and supportive environment in which young people can grow and develop their skills and experience.

The youth of Surf Life Saving are not only the key to our future but in many cases are leading the way now. With nearly half of our membership under the age of 18, they are critical to all aspects of surf lifesaving.

At Met Caloundra we offer our young members a range of opportunities from gaining accredited awards to access to leadership programs as well as social and networking activities. Surf lifesaving offers youth unique experiences that helps them in becoming confident and responsible members of our community.
