Vale Gordon King

I wish to formally advise all members that Gordon King sadly passed away recently.

Gordon was well known and loved amongst the Old Boys network and respected as a great club man. However, many of us met Gordon for the first time during the production of the recent 90th anniversary video. He was larger than life, engaging, generous, and spoke passionately about Mets and his club mates. Gordon joined Mets in 1954 and was active in the club during the 1950’s and 1960’s. The Club acknowledges Gordon’s significant contribution to Mets and extends its sincere condolences to Gordon’s family and friends. Rest in Peace Gordon.
