Metropolitan Caloundra Surf Lifesaving Club is located on beautiful Kings Beach, Caloundra on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Our beach is popular both with families and surfers and attracts approximately 120,000 visitors each patrolling season. Kings Beach Surf Club, located on the rock pools of Kings Beach, our modern, multipurpose facility provides a great home like environment for our members and guests. With stunning views of the ocean and a wide range of amenities, we are your ultimate destination for relaxation, dining, events and more.
Being a volunteer Lifesaver is about having fun, being physically fit, learning teamwork and aquatic life saving skills, competing in surf sports, and helping keep members of the public safe at the beach. Being a volunteer Lifesaver promotes a healthy lifestyle, positive social relationships, a sense of pride, a sense of responsibility and purpose.
Our people are our greatest asset, and Surf Lifesaving is unique in offering a variety of diverse programs. These include lifesaving services, junior activities (Nippers), surf sports, membership development, training and education, and fundraising. Despite their differences, all these programs contribute to one overarching purpose: to save lives. There is a role for everyone in our organisation, and many positions do not require you to be a qualified Lifesaver.
